GAUGIN’S TRIP TO TAHITI- AMAZING PRINTS, HAUNTING COLOUR COMBINATIONS OVERLAYED WITH FLATTING BLACK SHAPES, CAVES OF PIGMENT, lovely scenarios, travelling absorbsion, outlet magic.

MARIA LASSNIG- Figures, flesh in space.

PRUNELLA CLOUGH/ DAVID HOCKNEY- prints, composition

VICTORIA MORTEN- exciting big abstracted paintings to do with ‘PLUS AND MINUS’; Fruit Market Gallery show.

MALCOLM MORLEY; in full colour: exciting bright surrealist compositions, lots of figures, complicated scenarios, reality with twists of viBrancy.

NARRATIVE PAINTINGS- ‘Figurative art of two generations selected by Timothy Hyman’. 40’s/ 50’s.

JOHN BELLANY- great compositions, painting to speak stories!

IWAN BALA- great watery paintings with poetic, humorous, intuitive text, some of them remind me of Ralph Steadman’s inky illustrations.

PAUL NASH- for mystical landscapes, magic in 2D and for the sun and the moon next to each other, seasons and light changes in cross-over.
