Dear Darren,

My name is Georgia, I’m a 2nd year MFA student on Neil’s course at eca. Neil sent us all your email address so we can communicate about the Hairst.
I’m really interested in the sound of your performance piece at the castle. I am a painter, intrigued by the description (which Neil sent us) about what your work will be. I wondered if there might be an opportunity to get involved in the production of your piece? We arrive in Huntly on friday the 26th and will be around for preparations. I want to get involved with a visually exciting creation . If your work requires no extra hands no worries, just thought i’d ask.
Look forward to meeting you over the Hairst weekend.
Best wishes
Georgia
hello georgiaam sure there will be a possibility for something on the night, i am in the middle of welding the various props and once they are done i will be able to figure out what is actually happening, if you are keen on dressing up in some mad costume then we will work something out.i will send you a more detailed description hopefully before the weekend and some sketches .ta ta

Hi Darren,
Hope your work is going well.
Just thought i’d email to let you know there are a few of us that are keen to be involved if you would like any assistants/dressed up movers as part of your performance.
We arrive on Friday afternoon.
Let us know if you could do with anyone to help setting up.
Look forward to meeting you at the weekend.
Best wishes

eye eye georgiawe were thinking that if you are keen, there is a role for you to dance a kind of waltz with a pair of jeans filled with expanding foam and a large foam hand for a torso, if you have some dark coloured clothes that would be grand we have a jacket for you to wear its a black velvet thing without a liner so it may fit ye , we need someone to take photos and video the performance, not sure if it will be to cluttered if there are more than three folk in the performance but we will see what it looks like on Saturday.mentalta ta the noooo.

Hi Darren

That’s mental that you just sent that email because I got it when I was watching the film taken on my camera and was just about to email you.
There’s a great bit at the end where the Scottish commentator says “well that was different”
It was exciting and a pleasure to be involved in your piece- real great art, and I love the atmosphere of it.
The film taken on my camera is crap. It would be great to see yours if that can happen somehow…
Look forward to seeing photos, my camera couldn’t handle the darkness.
Hope you had a good Sunday.
Petra’s performance was impressive and interesting- it reminded me of the ink drawing’s Ralph Steadman did to illustrate Treasure Island and The Curse of Lono.
Hope to see you both in the future,
Georgia
